Hello, I’m Roy Helsing.

Music has been part of my life for more than 60 years, beginning with the acoustic accordion and evolving into today’s remarkable digital instruments.

I perform on both digital and acoustic accordion, offering music that ranges from romantic standards and light jazz to pop, country, classic rock, Italian, French, Latin, and traditional favorites. My digital accordion allows me to bring the sounds of an entire musical palette—from piano, guitar and strings to orchestral ensembles and even a full pipe organ—all in one highly portable instrument.

I especially enjoy helping people create memorable celebrations. Whether performing for a ceremony overlooking the ocean, a cocktail hour in a vineyard, or an elegant reception, my goal is simple: to provide beautiful live music that fits the setting, reflects the couple, and makes their special day even more memorable.

MY APPROACH TO LIVE  MUSIC

Choosing a musician isn’t simply about selecting someone who can play the right songs.

It’s about finding someone you can trust with one of the most important parts of your event.

For many years, I’ve had the privilege of performing for winery gatherings, anniversary celebrations, corporate events, senior communities, and private parties throughout the world as well as in Northern California. My goal has always been the same: create an atmosphere where guests feel welcome, relaxed, and genuinely enjoy being together.

Every performance is tailored to the occasion. Sometimes that means providing the grandeur of traditional wedding music. Other times it means creating subtle background music for conversation, lively international melodies for a winery gathering, or nostalgic favorites that bring generations together.

MY PERFORMANCE PHILOSOPHY 

Beautiful music isn’t about drawing attention to the performer. It’s about creating an atmosphere where people feel comfortable, connected, and free to enjoy one another.

That’s the philosophy that guides every performance I give.

Whether I’m playing for a celebration overlooking the Pacific Ocean, a winery gathering in Northern California, an anniversary celebration, a house concert, or a senior community, my goal is always the same: to help create an experience people will remember long after the last note has been played.  Read More…
