The 1970s brought an especially broad range of memorable music—from singer-songwriters and country-pop to soft rock, romantic ballads and songs that became enduring standards. These familiar melodies are a natural fit for cocktail hours, dinners, private celebrations and other events where recognizable music adds atmosphere without overwhelming conversation.
