The Ländler is one of the traditional folk-dance styles of the Alpine regions of Austria, Bavaria, Switzerland and southern Germany. Usually played in 3/4 time, its relaxed, rustic character helped shape the development of the Viennese waltz while retaining the distinctive sound and feel of Alpine folk music.

Roy’s Ländler repertoire brings the traditional sounds of the Alps to Oktoberfest celebrations, German and Austrian themed events, festivals and private gatherings. Performed on digital accordion, these selections can incorporate the characteristic sounds of accordion, clarinet, brass, tuba and other instruments associated with an Alpine folk ensemble.
